ACSM-CEP, BS Nutrition and Exercise Science

Certified Exercise Physiologist (CEP)

Reuben is an ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist with ten years of training experience and a degree in Nutrition and Exercise Science from Bastyr University. His own journey from overweight and unathletic to passionate coach shapes everything about how he works with clients: meeting people where they are, building genuine confidence, and making the process feel manageable at every stage.

Reuben brings a decade of hands-on training experience and a deep academic foundation to the Priority Fitness floor. As an ACSM Certified Exercise Physiologist, he holds one of the most rigorous credentials in the field, and his BS in Nutrition and Exercise Science from Bastyr University gives him a whole-person lens on what actually drives health and performance.

His path to fitness was anything but linear. After a childhood immersed in music and the performing arts, Reuben discovered how physical activity and intentional nutrition could fundamentally change someone's quality of life. That discovery was personal. He knows firsthand what it means to work through weight changes, recover from injury, and rebuild confidence in your body. That experience shapes how he shows up for every client.

Reuben approaches training with pragmatism and adaptability. His programming is grounded in science and built around quality of movement, drawing on mobility, strength, power, and endurance work to meet each person's specific needs. Whether the goal is maintaining independence as you age, stepping into a new sport without fear, finishing a first marathon, or keeping up with your grandchildren for years to come, Reuben builds toward it with patience and precision.

He is also a firm believer that community and belonging are foundational to health, not just the physical inputs. Outside the studio, he can be found lifting heavy-ish, running far-ish, practicing BJJ, and spending time with his fiancée and three dogs.
