A Park Slope native and student of human movement, Ben founded Priority Fitness in 2008 to bridge the gap between clinical science and athletic performance. He is the official Strength Coach of the Brooklyn Triathlon Club and a Team USA qualifier with over 20 years of experience in clinical biomechanics.
Ben grew up in Park Slope and founded Priority Fitness in 2008 after graduating from SUNY Buffalo with a degree in Personal Health & Wellness Training, a unique combination of exercise science, pre-med, nutrition, and sports psychology.
Having worked in his father’s Chiropractic office from an early age, Ben views training through a clinical lens, focusing on the architecture of human movement. He is the head CSCS (Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist) on staff and holds an ISSA Certified Fitness Trainer (CFT) and Specialist in Performance Nutrition (SPN) designation.
As a USAT Level II and USATF coach, Ben has attended week-long continuing education intensives at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. He is an Ironman finisher, a multi-year Team USA qualifier (2019-2023), and the official Strength Coach of the Brooklyn Triathlon Club (PPTC).
Ben specializes in Strength & Conditioning, endurance sports coaching, and metabolic data analysis in The Lab.
